We are building a secure, student-only platform for buying, selling, offering services, and finding housing rooted in trust, community, and opportunity.
Bazaar started in the summer of 2024 when our founder struggled to find quality items at fair prices as a student. Frustrated by unsafe and unreliable platforms, the idea for a secure, student-only platform was born. Later that year, at Duke’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Matchmaker event, he met co-founder Ann Marie, who shared a bold vision for what Bazaar could become. What began as a simple solution quickly evolved into a mission: to empower students to buy, sell, offer services, and find housing within a trusted community. At Bazaar, we believe in opportunity, transparency, and building a student economy that works for everyone.
Since its inception, Bazaar has:
Built a secure platform that ensures only verified students can access listings, providing peace of mind to both buyers and sellers.
Launched an MVP with a growing user base across multiple universities, starting with Duke University, and expanding rapidly to meet the needs of students nationwide.
Fostered a community where students can connect, collaborate, and exchange goods and services, making everyday life easier and more affordable.
Partnered with student organizations to enhance visibility and engagement, driving adoption across campuses. At Bazaar, we are committed to creating opportunities for students by putting trust, community, and empowerment at the core of everything we do.
We prioritize safety and reliability in every transaction. By verifying student identities and offering secure communication and payment systems, Bazaar creates a protected space where students can confidently buy, sell, offer services, or find housing.
Bazaar is built for and by students. We believe in the power of peer-to-peer support whether it’s furnishing a dorm, finding a tutor, or offering help through services. Our platform strengthens campus connections and fosters a culture of helping each other.
Students aren’t just users, they’re entrepreneurs, problem-solvers, and contributors. Bazaar gives them the tools to earn income, gain experience, and access opportunities, all within a student-first ecosystem.
